Infection Control and Disinfection for Contaminated Spaces

Infection Control & Disinfection You Can Rely On in Akron, OH

Some water damage events leave behind more than moisture, they leave contamination that a standard cleaning will not fully address. Sewage backups, flooding from outside sources, and certain equipment failures can introduce bacteria and pathogens into a space, and getting a surface to look clean is not the same as making it safe. Our infection control and disinfection service in Akron, OH is built around eliminating that biological risk, not just the visible mess left behind.

We use hospital grade antimicrobial and disinfectant products applied according to manufacturer specified contact times, which matters because wiping a disinfectant off too quickly reduces its effectiveness significantly. Surfaces are cleaned first to remove organic material, since disinfectants work far better on a clean surface than one still coated in debris, then treated with the appropriate disinfecting agent based on the type of contamination present.

This service is often paired with sewage cleanup, flood cleanup, or mold remediation, since those situations frequently involve the kind of contamination that calls for a dedicated disinfection step beyond standard restoration cleaning. We can also provide infection control disinfection as a standalone service for Akron, OH properties dealing with contamination concerns outside of a typical water damage scenario, including post event sanitizing for shared or high traffic spaces.
